This week the Ada Fire Department came to teach our students about fire safety. Mrs. Diepstra's Kindergarten class had an extra special visitor.
From Mrs. Diepstra: "For as long as I’ve been teaching at ACS, the firefighters visit in the fall and the special excitement for kindergartners is to help squirt the hose! Well, my daughter remembers in kindergarten that they saw the truck, but for whatever reason did not get to squirt the hose. Every fall my husband and I would hear her remind us…”I never did that!” So when she offered to bring me lunch this week and I knew the firefighters were coming I kiddingly said she should stop by to squirt the hose. Well, she took me up on it! Finally, it happened!"
