UPDATE: Betty has been found safe

UPDATE: Betty has been found safe. Thank you for your assistance. 

WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY- MEDIA RELEASE 

The Wyoming Department of Public Safety is requesting the public’s assistance in locating an endangered missing person.

Our missing is Betty Joe Jones, a 72-year-old black female who is 5’6” tall, weighs 90 pounds, has brown eyes and wears glasses.  Family does not know a clothing description, but she is known to wear a head scarf like the one in the photo.

Betty has been missing since 11:15 a.m. and is believed to be on foot as her vehicle is still parked in her driveway in the 3100 block of Copley SW, Wyoming.  Betty has the onset of dementia and family has obvious concerns for her well-being.  Betty does have a cell phone, but it is currently off.

Community Action Statement:

The Wyoming Department of Public Safety ask anyone with information on Betty’s location to call 9-1-1 or the Wyoming Department of Public Safety at 616.530.7300.
