State Representative Angela Rigas of Caledonia has received a commitment from Attorney General Dana Nessel to provide documents related to the Flint Water Crisis prosecutions. Rigas, who chairs the Subcommittee on Weaponization of State Government within the House Oversight Committee, had earlier requested these records from Nessel's office.

Nessel has expressed her intent to cooperate fully with the subcommittee and provide all requested documentation. "This is a major win for transparency and a victory for the people of Michigan," said Rigas. She emphasized that this effort aims to address public concerns about spending on prosecutions linked to the crisis.

Despite skepticism about the timeline, Rigas agreed to grant an additional eight weeks for Nessel's office to comply with the request. Once obtained, Rigas and her subcommittee plan to make these documents publicly accessible.
