Reimagine Trash issued the following announcement on Dec.11.
Whether they are a tangler (wraps around our sorting equipment), made of low quality paper, or contain additives (think plastic glitter and plastic embossing) most gift wrapping materials cannot go in your recycling bin.
Consider a sustainable gift wrapping alternative:
Gift bags that you can reuse again each year -- BONUS it's a quick way to wrap any gift!
Butcher paper, newspaper, or deconstructed paper grocery bags -- all can be recycled after it's unwrapped.
Cloth wrapping (known as Furoshiki) can be used over and over again. https://bit.ly/36m7B3s
