On Saturday, March 15, former Byron Center High School standout Sophie Holverstott’s current college team, the Michigan State Spartans, won 13-11 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The game took place at Devon Park. This was their second matchup against the Golden Gophers this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 5 p.m. at Secchia Stadium against Oakland Golden Grizzlies.
