City of East Grand Rapids issued the following announcement on Apr 13.
The Public Safety Department will be participating in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30 from 10 am until 2 pm. The lobby of the Public Safety Department will be open on that Saturday morning to collect expired or otherwise unused medications for proper disposal.
While our drop box is always available Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm, we’re participating in this national event to bring awareness of how to properly dispose of medication to avoid environmental contamination and the showcase the importance of removing prescriptions from your home to make sure they don’t fall into the wrong hands.
