Godfrey-Lee Public Schools issued the following announcement on Mar 28.
Happy Monday!
Last week, a group of Legends from East Lee Campus toured Wyoming's Clean Water Plant to learn about the relationship between waste water, cleaned water, and Plaster Creek. This trip supported an experiential project that about 3/4 of East Lee students are doing to define the problem with the water in Plaster Creek, then learn about ways that citizens like them can work together to solve the problem.
East Lee students had the advantage of being the first tour group since tours were suspended in March 2020; they represented ELC and GLPS very well. The 4 staff members that helped with the tour all told our students about summer job opportunities with the City of Wyoming for 18 year olds, and about the type of training needed to work in the Clean Water industry.
