City of Wyoming issued the following announcement on Feb 26.

WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY - MEDIA RELEASE 

At approximately 8:20 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, officers from the Wyoming Department of Public Safety responded to a pedestrian that had been reported struck on 32nd Street near Badger Avenue SW. The victim, identified as 62-year-old Kenneth Turpeau from Wyoming, was found with critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The vehicle that struck Mr. Turpeau did not stop at the scene of the crash. Witnesses describe a potential suspect vehicle as a white or cream color smaller style SUV. This vehicle was last seen driving south on Woodward Avenue from the scene. There are no other identifying features of this vehicle or a potential driver description.

Members of the Wyoming Department of Public Safety will be out canvassing the area in hopes of gaining information to assist in solving this case.
