City of Wyoming recently issued the following announcement.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has withdrawn its public health advisory issued on November 19, 2021. Effective immediately, the City of Wyoming will no longer require masks for visitors or staff at City facilities or City sponsored events.

While COVID-19 cases are on the decline throughout Kent County and the state of Michigan, we encourage residents and community members to take the necessary steps to protect themselves such as getting a COVID-19 vaccine, a COVID test if you are feeling sick or had a known exposure and continuing to mask in large crowds.

Masks are still required in healthcare settings such as hospitals and doctor’s offices.

To read more about COVID-19 cases in our community, find a COVID testing site or vaccine site, visit michigan.gov/coronavirus.
