Lowell Area Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 11.
Do you know what 5th graders experience at the Wittenbach Wege Center - Agriscience and Environmental...? Survival skills training! Check out these Alto Elementary 5th graders working on their shelter and fire building skills.
Many of these students have read the book "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen as a class, and this field trip reinforces a lot of the information they read.
