Forest Hills Public Schools issued the following announcement on Nov 25.
Dear Forest Hills Families,
I hope that this short holiday break allows you a few days of rest surrounded by family and loved ones. It’s a season to remember what we’re all thankful for and appreciate our blessings and the people we love. I can tell you that I am thankful for the opportunity to serve Forest Hills and am grateful for your support of our students and staff members. I am looking forward to playing some games with my daughters, seeing my mom, and spending unhurried time with my family. I am grateful to be able to spend time with our amazing students - our community’s future - and remain grounded in our purpose at Forest Hills - doing what’s best for kids.
For Thanksgiving, I invite you to join me in pausing for a moment with loved ones and friends. This is a season of togetherness and gratitude, and a time where we celebrate our common humanity and fellowship with friends and neighbors.
Thank you for your constant support of our students and their future. Thank you for your desire and eagerness to push for the best. Thank you for your support of our team of educators - those in front of students and those who serve behind the scenes. Thank you for modeling selflessness and kindness, ingenuity and dedication, and empathy and compassion. Thank you to the heroes this holiday who are helping those in need. As families, neighbors, and community members, I am thankful for everyone’s efforts to build a better world for our community and our kids. Happy Thanksgiving!
With gratitude,
Dan Behm
Superintendent
