Lowell Area Schools issued the following announcement on Nov 5.
All week Chaye Klomparens leadership class has focused on mental health - The Red Arrow Recharge. Each day of the week was focused on a particular mental health issue (depression, anxiety, suicide, body image, and today focused on all other mental health issues).
Today they celebrated the week by giving students a brain break with a dodge ball game which found the sophmores victorious over the staff. During halftime Joe Martino of Joe Martino Counseling spoke to the students about how to stay healthy and how to know when you need to seek help. In addition, students raised money for the opportunity to pie Mr. Gough, Mr. Gough, Mr. Jackson, and Mr. Strotheide.
Proceeds will be donated to the The Be Kind People Project foundation.
