Kentwood Public Schools issued the following announcement on Nov 4.
We are excited to announce that we have some AMAZING writers at Crestwood! Several students entered a writing contest called "Imagine a Day Without Water." They wrote 250 words or less on the importance of Lake Michigan. Some students wrote a thoughtful essay, some wrote a creative poem or story, and we had one news report.
And the winners are:
In 4th place were Ayla Wiltrout, Daniel Hildebrand, and Loghan Stekenberg.
In 3rd place were Boi Ding and Lawson Love. Second place went to Kimani Brame, Hudson Vilcans, Barbara Hoolihan, and Steven Le.
Our first place winners were Jack DeVries, Megan Mang, and Kyle Rutherford.
We are so proud of all of our young writers! Thank you to ELA teacher Anne Brown for presenting our students with this opportunity!
