Kelloggsville Public Schools issued the following announcement on Oct 13.
November 2, 2021 Bond Proposal
On November 2, 2021 Kelloggsville Public Schools will be seeking a $11.3 million bond that will be used to build a new S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) building for our high school students. The best news about this project is that it can be done without increasing taxes above the current year tax rates for the community members! We would simply continue with the existing debt levy.
Rationale
Our goal is to give our students an exceptional facility that will provide opportunities for S.T.E.M., robotics, and business classes. We will also build a new media center for our elementary students and continue to provide and update safe and secure entrances in the district.
Building(s) Highlights
- A new media center equipped with current technology to meet the needs of our elementary students at Southeast Elementary
- Space specifically designated for the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) building with current and up to date equipment and technology
Other Projects Scheduled with this Bond Proposal
- Secure entrances to all district buildings
- Technology upgrades throughout the district to enhance instruction
