A huge thank you to everyone who helped plant a rain garden

Thank

City of Grandville issued the following announcement on Oct 21.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped plant a rain garden that promises cleaner, cooler water for Buck Creek as well as a beautiful native garden for students and the community alike.

Green Teams from both Grandville Middle School and Grandville High School were incredible workers. Grandville Mayor Steve Maas cheered volunteers on both days. Kudos to Wes Landon, Native Edge LLC, for his planning and organization, Eric Vermeulen and Dave Helder for preparing the garden for planting, LGROW for mentoring students, and Kristin Bakker and Martha Vermeulen for coordinating the volunteers.

This green infrastructure project is a collaboration of Grandville Public Schools, (with the dedication of Arlyn Cribley and his crew) and Friends of Buck Creek. Here's a shout-out to everyone who contributed to this project with their donations and/or time. It takes a community!
