West Nile Virus

Mosquito1

City of Wyoming recently issued the following announcement.

The Kent County Health Department recently announced West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes trapped in Kent County testing pools.

This is a good reminder for Wyoming residents to take steps to prevent mosquito bites, such as:

- Apply mosquito repellent containing 10-35% DEET.

- Wear light-colored clothes.

- Stay indoors after dusk.

- Remove or refresh standing water from your property, where possible.
