Join the City of Kentwood on Saturday, February 25, for a Unity Walk to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Residents are invited to gather at the food court at Woodland Mall, 3195 28th St SE, at 11 a.m. for a walk, which will end in front of Von Maur at 11:30 a.m. A ceremony will follow, including a proclamation, music, and refreshments.
The Unity Walk will be followed by the African American Live Museum, presented by New Hope Baptist Church, Grand Rapids, MI. Starting at 1 p.m., witness over 20 live performances featuring historical black figures. Travel through time as you learn about historical African American figures through live performances throughout Woodland Mall.
