This week is #SevereWeatherAwarenessWeek. It's a great time to review your severe weather plan and make sure that you have a way to receive weather alerts from US National Weather Service Grand Rapids Michigan.
On Wednesday, March 23, there will be a statewide tornado drill at 1 p.m. Residents can expect to hear sirens and emergency alerts on television and radio.
Become familiar with severe weather warnings, prepare an emergency kit, develop an emergency plan and gather emergency contact information.
