Caledonia Community Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 24.
Recently, Kent District Library announced winners of the 10th annual Write Michigan Short Story Contest, and Caledonia High School freshman Dev Buysse was selected as a Published Finalist for the story ˈˈ\drau̇ -niŋ\ (v.) .
Over 1000 stories were submitted this year and through a process of reviewing and then judging by authors and educators, Dev's story was in the top six in the teen category. Pretty impressive!
