Caledonia Community Schools issued the following announcement on Aug 6.
Michigan Department of Education (MDE) announced this week a new public library service for families, called “TALK: Text and Learn for Kindergarten.”
It provides optional resources for parents to help build early literacy skills for young children.
The service also notifies parents of free activities and services at their local public libraries.
TALK is available to parents and caregivers in Michigan with children ages 5 and under. Parents can sign up by texting TALK to 75547 or visiting www.texttolearn.com.
