Dear Parent/Guardian of REMOTE Learning Student:
Thank you for entrusting us with your child';s education! It has been such a pleasure working with all our students. There is certainly a learning curve with educating students remotely, but we hope that your child is having a great experience. We continue to learn and improve every day.
Technology Support:
One of the challenges many have encountered has been with the technology related to REMOTE learning. Your child's teacher is unable to provide the support that is sometimes needed because her/his day is full connecting with students and delivering instruction. High Academic Expectations for ALL
One of the best gifts we can offer our students is the gift of a great education. We are driven to do everything in our power to meet their needs in order to empower success. Kentwood Public Schools wants you to know we have been working closely with all of our teachers to support their remote teaching. Some of these supports have been to work with staff on Google Classroom setup and examples, accessing our current digital curriculums, and connecting them to our math and ELA resources. One support is our Academic Support Coaches who have worked coaching our remote
learning staff these past months. Our coaches will be continuing to support digital access, resources, and on demand coaching throughout this school year.
Please continue to work alongside your child's teacher to make sure your son or daughter is attending all of "class" every day, giving their best effort, and completing all the work. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school principal if you have any questions. Thanks for all you do to support your child's success!
