City of Kent Government issued the following announcement on April 2.
We need your help! Today is National Census Day! If you participate in the census it secures more funding for programs that impact your community. Census numbers influence funding for 132 programs including Medicaid, SNAP, Head Start, and Highway Planning and Construction - just to name a few.
So far the completion rates are:
City of Kent 42.3%
Washington: 42.0%
United States: 38.4%
We need to keep it up! Make sure you, your family, friends and neighbors complete the census as soon as possible. For more information visit: www.census.gov/
